A modern platform for local communities
During 2026/27, theClassified is being rebuilt on a completely modern technology stack and will move to a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.
The new platform is being designed from the ground up to provide a faster, more reliable and more flexible service while preserving the local focus that has always been at the heart of theClassified.
The upgrade will also give our Licensees a modern platform from which to operate their local Classified business, with improved administration, stronger platform services and a foundation that can continue to evolve as technology and customer expectations change.
A stronger future for local communities
This is much more than a technical upgrade. It provides the foundation for us to continue developing theClassified, introducing new capabilities and creating better ways for people to buy, sell, discover and connect locally.
There is still plenty of work ahead, and we’ll share more news as development progresses. We’re excited about what comes next for theClassified and the opportunities the new platform will create for our Licensees and the communities they serve.
