What is a licensee?
theClassified license is a fun and lucrative opportunity to build a business with high potential income at minimal risk. All you need to make your Local Online Marketplace a success is drive and determination.
As a Licensee you would be running your own business, from your home town, with the benefits of an established brand and our technical support. You would maintain our values and excellent customer service, whilst showing genuine enthusiasm for promoting your site and the brand locally.
You would be given an Operator login to the website that takes you to your own ‘Control Panel’. Here you can authorise Pay As You Go adverts and Annual Subscriptions, track sales and communicate directly with customers.

Licensees of theClassified are required to pay a one off set-up fee, followed by a monthly license fee. There are no contracts, so at any time you can walk away and hand the site back to us. Want to find out more? Click the button….

Become a Licensee
We have built the complete platform to support your business.
The objective is to allow locals to advertise their property or services for sale, or to even undertake auctions. Your customers can even open their own store, and it’s like a website within a website.
Our availability map has identified over 500 towns/cities across the UK that have a population in excess of 20,000. This will give you ideas for your own site. However, don’t be worried if your location is not listed, we are happy to license beyond that map.
Sites are not restricted to locations either. Maybe you belong to a club or organisation and want to allow members a way to trade with each other while also raising funds. As long as your name is unique, you can have a site.
To launch your site you click the Become a Licensee button. We will ask you for a setup fee, and you will be required to pay a monthly subscription. Once your site is live, there is a small amount of setup required, but don’t worry, it is straight-forward and we will help.
After that, we are just the tool you will use and the hard work begins – getting out into your community to promote the site and, ultimately, generate sales.

There is only ONE license available for each town or city so you should contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Once we have your interest, you can ask questions and decide if this opportunity is right for you. If we don’t think it is, we will also be honest with you.
Once you have reviewed and agree to our terms of business you simply complete the ‘Become a Licensee’ process.
Be aware, our terms are non-negotiable – you either accept them and license a site, or you don’t and won’t be able to start. There is a reason for this – we don’t want protracted contract negotiations. This is a business where fees are deliberately low and if it is not working out for you, you can just walk away. We don’t want to tie you in to any sort of minimum period, which contracts often will.
